On January 7, 2002, Apple announced that Mac OS X was to be the default operating system for all Macintosh products by the end of that month. Version 10.2: 'Jaguar' On August 23, 2002, Apple followed up with Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar, the first release to use its code name as part of the branding.
- Many people start using OS X and decide they hate it because they can't get anything done. Although with the new Mac OS PC applications can be used with BootCamp. As with anything new, you will need to take your time to learn this new system. With a Mac everything is plug in and play there is not much setup needed and no extra devices needed.

As in docker-for-mac and docker-for-windows, inside a container, the DNS name host.docker.internal resolves to an IP address allowing network access to the host (roughly the output of ip -4 route list match 0/0 cut -d' ' -f3 inside the same container).

24' iMac mid 2007 6GB RAM 1TB HD El Capitan OS
When starting up this machine I get this message:
'Your computer restarted because of a problem. Touch any key...'
Then in the upper left corner of the screen I get a message (in monochrome, like at the root level):
'CPU (1caller) process 1 s/bin launch failed
Debugger called: C panic
Backtrace CPU Frame return address
pxff
(a series of alphanumerics show up, about a dozen or so)
BSD process name corresponding to current init
Boot args; rp=file com.apple.recoverybasesystem.dmg
mac os version:
not yet set'
There is more info but it is difficult to retrieve as this only stays on the screen for a second or two. It's a total kernel panic.
To complicate things even more the mouse and keyboard are not recognized so I cannot go to Recovery mode or Safe mode or any other startup mode.
Have I lost the drive completely?

Selecting Eject has no effect on a folder. Think of a folder as a big envelope sitting on top of a desk or in a desk drawer. 'Eject' is used for things such as drives you might add to you computer like an ipod or usb flash drive or volumes such as music cds...
I'm curious to know, what is inside this mystery folder? If it's empty, after you drag it to the trash, empty the trash. Finder menu>Empty Trash.
Also, wondering, does the folder have a little arrow on it? If it does that means it's an alias. You'll want to locate the original and toss it. Select the offending folder while holding down the Control key - from the pop up window that will result, select Show Original.
